Fee structure

CopeCart calculates its fees based on "tier levels," which are determined by "chargeback rates."

A chargeback occurs if CopeCart's claim against the purchaser of a product is not satisfied in full by the due date in accordance with the contract, unless CopeCart is responsible for the non-payment or the corresponding contract has been canceled by CopeCart without being obliged to do so at its reasonable discretion.

Chargebacks include, in particular, the Customer's inability to pay, failure to debit the means of payment used, return charges or chargebacks of credit cards by the holder of the means of payment (default on payment), effective revocation of the contract by the Customer, ineffectiveness of the contract at CopeCart's reasonable discretion due to defects in the conclusion of the contract with the Customer for which the Vendor or the persons appointed by the Vendor are responsible or ineffectiveness due to characteristics of the purchased product (e.g. lack of approval of the product by the Vendor in accordance with the FernUSG), at CopeCart's reasonable discretion, claims for defects by the Customer or other objections or defenses by the Customer that entitle the Customer to refuse payment or reduce the purchase price. This shall apply in each case insofar as CopeCart is not responsible. CopeCart is not responsible for a lack of accreditation under the FernUSG, unless the Vendor has obtained such accreditation for the product and has informed CopeCart of the requirement and the accreditation granted before concluding the relevant contract with an end customer.
Tier 2 to 4 apply in the event of a payment default only if the end customer was acquired for the respective coverage transaction by the vendor, its agents, or its affiliates.

Tier Structure:

• Tier 1:

  Vendor Chargeback Ratio: <= 5%

  Basic fee per hedging transaction of 4.9% of the gross sales price specified by you and charged to the end customer, plus a transaction fee of 1 euro net.

• Tier 2:

  Vendor Chargeback Ratio > 5% <= 8%

  Basic fee increases by 1 percentage point.

• Tier 3:

  Vendor Chargeback Ratio: > 8% <= 12%

  Basic fee increases by 2 percentage points.

• Tier 4:

  Vendor Chargeback Ratio > 12%

  Basic fee increases by 4 percentage points.
