Este motivo es tomado del famoso Códice de Dresden. Las nueve figuras aparecen en varias láminas de este códice. Arriba a la izquierda vemos a la diosa de la luna, Ixchel, vertiendo agua de su jarrón. A su lado está Itzamná, el dios del cielo. Sigue K´inich Ajaw, el dios del sol. Debajo de Ixchel está el dios del maíz, Yum Naal. Atrás de él está la joven diosa de la luna Uh Ixik con un quetzal sobre su espalda. Sigue el dios de la lluvia Chaak sentado en su templo en el cielo. Abajo a la izquierda vemos al dios de la estrella polar, Xaman Ek´, comiendo maíz. Sigue el dios de los mercaderes y del cacao, Ek Chuwaj. Atrás de él aparece K´uk´ulkan, el dios de la serpiente emplumada.

This motif is taken from the famous Dresden Maya Codex. Those nine figures appear on different pages of the codex. In the upper left corner we see Ixchel, the old moon goddess, pouring water from her jar. Next to her is Itzamná, god of heaven. Behind him is K´inich Ajaw, the sun god. Then there is Yum Naal, the god of maize. Behind him is the young moon goddess Uh Ixik with a quetzal bird on her back. Then there is the rain god Chaak sitting in his temple in the sky. In the lower register we see Xaman Ek´, the god of the North star, eating corn. Behind him there is Ek Chuwaj, the god of merchants and cocoa. Last is K´uk´ulkan, god of the Feathered Serpent.

Dieses Motiv ist dem berühmten Dresdner Maya-Codex entnommen. Diese neun Figuren erscheinen auf verschiedenen Seiten im Codex. Oben links sehen wir die alte Mondgöttin Ixchel, die aus ihrem Krug Wasser verschüttet. Daneben erscheint Itzamná, der Himmelsgott. Hinter ihm sehen wir den Sonnengott K´inich Ajaw. In der Mitte links erscheint der Maisgott Yum Naal mit einer Kakaopflanze. Hinter ihm sitzt die junge Mondgöttin Uh Ixik mit einem Quetzalvogel auf ihrem Rücken. Rechts sitzt der Regengott Chaak in seinem Tempel im Himmel. Unten links ist Xaman Ek´ zu sehen, der Gott des Polarsterns. Es folgt Ek Chuwaj, der Gott der Händler und des Kakaos. Rechts unten erscheint K´uk´ulkan, der Gott der Gefiederten Schlange.
